Beirut

Since I spend my time back and forth through Canada and Lebanon, I bet many of the people who across this blog  ask themselves why Beiruti Adventures and not his Canadian ones?

I find Beirut a beautiful place, with many events, stories, and adventures. It’s  remarkable.Very simply, Beirut is me and I am Beirut. Beirut is diverse yet closed, wild yet calm, funky but ever so fragrant, loud but thoughtful, blessed and cursed, the land of seas and mountains, tradition vs. future… and every other opposite words you could think of 😛 . It’s a magical place that captivates me… forget the traffic, the random fireworks, the arguments, the psychotic political system, the agreeing to disagree concept and all that shabang….just think heavenly magic (hehe). Thats why I chose Beirut and it’s craziness, thats why I am Beirut.

Most importantly, I wrote/write about Beirut to help and hopefully show it’s true colors to the world. Thousands and even millions of people around the world associate Beirut with crazy Arabs flailing thier guns madly into the air, with buildings that have rocket holes going through them, desert surrounding it’s borders, assassinations, religious conflict and divide, and so on.

Let my blog be the window to Beirut, and ultimately myself. This is our story 🙂

    I agree…

Beirut is not black or white. It’s grey.

It’s all those extremes and in betweens. It’s all those opposites mixed together.

Glad ur showing a different side of Beirut that people aren’t used to see…
